Begin your day with a visit to the Maravillas Caves, where you’ll find paintings by Taino Indians who inhabited these caves between 800 and 500 years ago.
Continue to Altos de Chavón, a replica of a 16th-century Mediterranean village. Stroll through narrow cobblestone alleyways and admire the craftsmanship in wrought iron and carved stones.
Next, visit a handcrafted cigar factory. Learn the proper way of rolling a cigar from the hands of master craftsmen. Tour a cigar museum and small factory, and let your senses be seduced by the aged fragrance of tobacco.
Finally, visit a chocolate factory to watch how chocolate is produced.
